About Yacht Charter Guide
We got tired of brochure copy pretending to be advice
So we built the guide we wished existed before our own first charters: honest prices, honest trade-offs, written by people who have actually done this.
Why this site exists
Search “yacht charter Greece” and you get two kinds of results: a broker’s landing page telling you everything is wonderful, or a generic travel blog that has clearly never set foot on a sailboat. Neither tells you what you actually need to know before you book.
We started this site to close that gap: real numbers, real trade-offs, and destination guides written by people who know the difference between a good anchorage and a marketing photo of one.
What we actually help with
Real pricing
Broken down by boat type and season, not “starting from” figures designed to get you to click.
Honest comparisons
Bareboat vs crewed, catamaran vs monohull: built around what changes for you, not a generic feature list.
Destination depth
Routes, marinas, regulations and timing for each region, not one listicle trying to cover the whole world.
The parts brokers leave out
Licence rules, hidden fees and what is actually included, so nothing surprises you at pick-up.
Meet the crew
Every guide is written or reviewed by someone with real time on the water, not assembled from other people’s blog posts. The team is small and growing as the site expands into new regions.

James Kurtni
Former charter boat captain and yacht owner
I know what makes a yacht charter truly worth your time because I’ve spent years seeing the cruising world from the helm.
Today, I share that experience to help yacht charter travelers choose the right destinations, routes, and experiences — based on what actually matters once you’re out on the water.

Pamela McCartney
Luxury Hospitality Trainer – Private Aviation, Yachts & Estates
I’ve spent my career training hospitality teams at the highest end of the luxury world — from private jets and superyachts to palaces, private residences, and exclusive events.
In my articles, I focus on the side of yacht chartering that traditional travel guides often overlook: service, etiquette, crew standards, and what “included” really means when you charter a luxury yacht.

Ricardo Matini
Boat Engine Specialist – Former Rolls-Royce Mechanic
I’ve spent my career working with engines, from my years as a mechanic at Rolls-Royce to building and servicing the engines that keep boats moving today.
When I write about boats, I want readers to understand not only how they look and perform on the water, but what’s happening beneath the deck.

This site is supported by affiliate commissions when you book a charter through some of our links. It costs you nothing extra, and it never decides which boats, operators or destinations we recommend. We are not a booking platform.
