Croatia Yacht Charter Cost 2027: Real Prices and Every Extra
A week’s yacht charter in Croatia in 2027 costs about โฌ1,800 to โฌ5,400 for a sailing monohull and โฌ1,900 to โฌ12,900 for a sailing catamaran, depending on size and season, before extras. Add roughly 25 to 40% for the charter pack, fuel, berths, tourist tax and, if you need one, a skipper. Shared by 8 people, that is about โฌ450 to โฌ1,900 per person for the week, plus food and flights. Below are real 2027 rate cards from Croatian bases, every extra cost explained, national park fees, and two worked budgets.
Key takeaways
- Peak weeks (July and August) cost about two to three times the April or October price for the same boat.
- Mandatory extras: a charter pack of about โฌ300 to โฌ600 and a tourist tax of about โฌ1 to โฌ2 per person per day.
- Berths cost about โฌ60 to โฌ160 a night for a monohull in 2026; catamarans pay roughly double.
- A skipper costs about โฌ1,500 to โฌ1,750 a week plus food; a hostess about โฌ1,400 to โฌ1,600.
- Booking before 31 December or end of February typically saves 10 to 20%.
Weekly charter prices in Croatia for 2027
Prices in Croatia follow the season closely. The table shows the weekly base price of real boats on Croatian bases, taken from their published 2027 rate cards. Each row is one boat, not an average, so similar boats from other companies can be cheaper or dearer.
| Boat (base) | April / October | Late May / mid-September | July / August |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bavaria C38, 3 cabins (Split) | โฌ1,800 to โฌ2,100 | โฌ2,700 to โฌ3,500 | โฌ4,400 |
| Oceanis 46.1, 5 cabins (Split) | โฌ2,200 to โฌ2,750 | โฌ3,150 to โฌ4,700 | โฌ4,600 to โฌ5,400 |
| Lucia 40 catamaran, 4 cabins (Krk) | โฌ1,870 to โฌ2,380 | โฌ3,825 to โฌ4,400 | โฌ5,485 to โฌ6,035 |
| Lagoon 46 catamaran, 6 cabins (Trogir) | โฌ4,700 to โฌ5,100 | โฌ5,500 to โฌ9,000 | โฌ12,900 |
| Prestige 46 motor yacht (Primoลกten) | โฌ6,175 | โฌ7,600 to โฌ8,550 | โฌ9,500 |
Crewed boats cost more because the crew and most meals are included. A crewed Leopard 45 catamaran for 6 guests out of Split costs about โฌ9,650 in low season and โฌ14,950 in peak season, plus 13% VAT and an advance provisioning allowance (APA) of โฌ3,000 (BeBlue Sailing). Traditional gulets for 10 to 12 guests average about โฌ21,000 to โฌ25,500 a week (12knots).

Marina, town quay and buoy prices
This is where Croatia costs more than many destinations: much of the coast is rocky and deep, so most crews spend the night in a marina, on a paid buoy, or on a town quay that charges by length. Catamarans usually pay about double because they take two berths’ width.
| Place | 39 ft monohull | 39 ft catamaran |
|---|---|---|
| ACI Split | โฌ160 | โฌ320 |
| ACI Korฤula | โฌ128 | โฌ256 |
| ACI Palmiลพana (Pakleni Islands) | โฌ132 | โฌ264 |
| Hvar town quay | โฌ136 | โฌ232 |
| Stari Grad, Bol, Komiลพa town harbours | โฌ60 | โฌ120 |
| Mooring buoy in a bay | About โฌ45 to โฌ75 | |
A typical week mixes 3 or 4 marina or town quay nights with 2 or 3 nights on buoys or at anchor, which comes to about โฌ500 to โฌ800 for a monohull and โฌ900 to โฌ1,400 for a catamaran in summer. Anchoring for free in a sheltered bay is still possible in many places and brings the total down sharply.
National park fees
- Kornati: for an 11 to 18 m boat, โฌ95 per day from June to September and โฌ50 the rest of the year when bought online in advance (2026). Tickets bought on site have historically cost about double (mySea).
- Mljet: an 11 to 17.99 m boat pays โฌ100 a day from June to September (โฌ90 online) and โฌ50 the rest of the year. The boat ticket does not include the lakes: each adult also needs a โฌ30 visitor ticket in summer (Mljet National Park, 2026).
- Lastovo Nature Park: buoys cost โฌ40 a night for a 10 to 20 m boat (Lastovo Nature Park), plus a park ticket.
- Krka: no fee for boats, but each adult visitor pays โฌ40 from June to September 2027 (NP Krka).
Two real budgets for 8 people
Example: a Lagoon 46 catamaran from Trogir in 2027, with a skipper and a 15% early booking discount.
| Item | Mid-July | Late September |
|---|---|---|
| Boat, after 15% discount | โฌ10,965 | โฌ4,760 |
| Charter pack | โฌ600 | โฌ600 |
| Tourist tax (8 people, 7 days) | โฌ56 | โฌ56 |
| Skipper | โฌ1,750 | โฌ1,750 |
| Fuel | about โฌ300 | about โฌ300 |
| Berths and buoys | about โฌ1,300 | about โฌ900 |
| Deposit insurance | about โฌ300 | about โฌ300 |
| Total | about โฌ15,300 | about โฌ8,700 |
| Per person | about โฌ1,900 | about โฌ1,090 |
The cheapest realistic option is a 38 to 40 ft monohull, bareboat, in June or September, shared by 6: about โฌ3,000 to โฌ3,500 for the boat, โฌ300 for the pack and โฌ500 to โฌ700 of berths, so roughly โฌ650 to โฌ750 each. Sail it in May or early October and it drops to about โฌ450 to โฌ500 each.
Is it expensive to sail in Croatia?
Boat prices are broadly similar to Greece. Croatia’s extra costs are the berths, buoys and park tickets, which add up because free anchorages are fewer. Shared between a full boat, a week of sailing usually costs less per person than a week in a good hotel on the coast in August. For a side-by-side view, see our Croatia vs Greece comparison and the Greece charter cost guide.
How to pay less
- Book early: 2027 rate cards offer 10% until 31 December (Oceanis 46.1), 15% until 31 December (Lagoon 46) or 20% until the end of February (Bavaria C38).
- Sail in June or September: the same boat costs 30 to 50% less than in early August, with warm water and steady winds. See the best time to sail in Croatia.
- Fill the cabins: the boat price barely changes with the number of guests, so a full boat halves the cost per person.
- Mix marina and anchor nights: two free anchor nights can save โฌ200 to โฌ500.
- Buy park tickets online in advance: on-site prices are much higher in Kornati and higher in Mljet.
- Choose a monohull unless the space of a catamaran really matters to you: it costs less to rent and half as much to berth. Our catamaran charter guide compares the two.
